The control station for the VDM10 2-wire series

The audio/video distributor is the central data distribution and power supply for the 2-wire system of the VDM10 door intercom.

The audio/video distributor draws power from the 24VDC transformer.
Data distribution takes place via the 2-wire connection, which must be run in a star topology from the audio/video distributor to the indoor stations.
Thanks to the intelligent technology of the audio/video distributor, you don't need to worry about wire polarity when connecting the indoor and door stations to the individual channels. Each channel of the distributor assigns power and data to the connected device via the correct wires.
The indoor stations are connected to channels CH1-CH5, and the door station to CH6 (max. 16W). 6 indicator LEDs show the network status on the respective channels. The audio/video distributor also has an RJ45 interface, allowing a network connection via LAN cable to an internet router (10/100 Mbps).
It is recommended to establish a network connection via LAN cable on the audio/video distributor. This allows the distributor to integrate every end device into your home network. This lets you conveniently use the smartphone app or configure your VDM10 door intercom via the PC software.
