Data distribution takes place via the 2-wire connection, which must be run in a star topology from the audio/video distributor to the indoor stations.
Thanks to the intelligent technology of the audio/video distributor, you do not need to pay attention to wire polarity when connecting the indoor and door stations to the individual channels. Each channel of the distributor supplies power and data to the connected device via the correct wires.
The indoor stations are connected to channels CH1-CH5, and the door station to CH6 (max. 16W). 6 indicator LEDs show the network status on the respective channels. The audio/video distributor also has an RJ45 interface, which can be used to establish a network connection to an internet router via a LAN cable (10/100 Mbps).
We recommend establishing a network connection to the audio/video distributor via a LAN cable. This allows the distributor to integrate every device into your home network, so you can conveniently use the smartphone app or configure your VDM10 door intercom via the PC software.
